There is Still Hope

Predicaments and situations come and go in our lives. Sometimes we may wonder how we got here. Somethings you and I find ourselves in at this point in our lives and it can look so gloomy that it make us so scared to even trust anyone right now.

Being let down by people is hard pill to swallow, it is not easy to accept….But God never change, He never fails- He certainly will never let us down.

Trust Him with all your heart!

Lord help me to trust you more

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Giving Thanks and Being Grateful

Sometimes we spend so much time complaining about what we don’t have. We don’t give enough thanks for what we have and what God has done for us.

We may want steak for dinner but can only find a tin of sardine in the cupboard, let us bless it and give thanks. We need to give God thanks with a grateful heart. Whatever culture we are, whatever we believe in.

There is only one true God, He is right all the time.

Do we focus our energy on conditions in our lives that doesn’t look fantastic or favourable?  Let us think about those who are battling with the corona virus – the hundreds that died, families without shelter or food, people suffering the aftermath of various disasters like- earthquakes, fires and the list goes on…..

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, butthe end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Matthew 24:6-7 New King James  (NKJV)

Prayer for Young People

Dear God,

I thank you for who you are.

Dear Lord please remember our young people in a special way. Please remember those who have been offending, those who the enemy has used to do his evils and to take another person’s life.

Dear God, so much evil has taken over some people. But I pray in the name of Jesus Christ your son, that you will send your Divine Holy Spirit into their hearts, to turn from the evils and to do good.

So many of our young people are being misguided, let down by families, friends, institutions, other sources who have mistreated them, abuse them somewhere in life. Today God please let your mercies look down in tender love and touch their hearts for good works.

Remember us as adults Lord, to put away the things that may be hinderances  from helping our young people. Help us to lay aside our covetous ways, jealousy, strife, malicious ways one towards another. Let us exhibit peace, love, kindness and care towards each other, not just our friends, but also those who may not even like.

Please take charge of every heart Lord, every heart of young people and adults alike.

Please set our young people’s heart to choose the RIGHT WAY way. Help them to have RIGHT THINKING, show them the right path, help them to choose well and to do what is right in your name -thank you God.

A Bless Day

As we are approach a new Sabbath day, let us reflect and see how we got over this week. There are so many sad news in the Media and around us; but let us thank God that we are still here today.

Let us be grateful and give thanks to Almighty God regardless of the crisis or position we find ourselves in.

Society has changed, the whole world is in turmoil looking for answers, the days are very evil, mankind has become so hostile towards these days we have to be very mindful even to hold a good conversation.

Let us pray one for another that we grow in grace and peace of God!

Looking Out For Each Other

I share the sentiments, ‘be our brother’s keeper’. This statement is crucial for our lives today.

We see today, we don’t see tomorrow and the person who we may sidestepped today, may be just the person who may help us along in dire need. Let us be mindful and be our ‘brother’s keeper’.
No one is better than the other, it is just by the grace of God, we go through our daily lives.

Irrespective of status in life, our position is nothing without God.
Try to look out for somebody today!

Let us support one another the best way possible, we never know when it’s our turn asking for help.

Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4 NIV

Be Kind even in Adversity

People make mistakes and bad decisions from time to time; some could be avoided. There are always consequences for every action, but it doesn’t mean we dig a hole and bury the person at fault.

At the PM’s announcement today 24th May 2019, it was really sad to hear the Prime Minister of Britain giving her resignation date. At the ending of speech her voice cracked, I couldn’t help myself but to feel empathy for the lady. It was like a very defeating blow for her and her supporters I believe.

People, especially leaders, need to have the right people around them to give support, Godly advice and suggestions. Not to gang up on them when there are disagreements.

People who mean you well, will be there for you through thick and thin. They may not agree with you on certain matters but will bring valid solutions, suggestions and advice.

On the other hand, people – whatever the status should be able to listen and act carefully, value suggestions given. Everybody needs somebody, there are lessons learnt here …

The people around you know more about you than anyone else. You expect them to help you when you’re falling, sometimes that’s not the case. People should not laugh or rejoice over other people’s down fall!

Somebody may try to run for a role to replace you. We have seen it all before, as the saying goes-

‘the Knife that stick goat stick sheep’

‘He who laughs last laugh best’!

Be careful not to rejoice over people’s hurt, for example, loss of power, but rather help them to rise again. Let us be kind and sympathetic – we never know what tomorrow may bring!

Be Bless

Give it to Jesus

When you don’t know what next to do  – then you know it is time to hand it over to Jesus.
When you’re not sure what to say -hand to Jesus.
When you’re confused – give to Jesus.
When you are afraid – just give it to Jesus.
When you’re feeling tired and weary – give it to Jesus.
When you don’t know which way to go and feel you’re at your cross road – give it to Jesus.
When you think your proposed relationship isn’t working out- tell it to Jesus.
Just when you feel things are looking up for you and then comes disappointment- hand it to Jesus.
Having set your attention on a particular goal and gotten some major setbacks? Give them all to Jesus.
There may be so many things happening in our lives we have no control over, sometimes trying hard to fix them …
It’s time to let go – give them all to JESUS, He will turn your/my sorrow into joy!!

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 KJV
